BECAPLERMIN - TOPICAL GEL

COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Rerganex
USES: This medication is used to help heal skin ulcers.
HOW TO USE: Wash hands thoroughly before applying that medicine. To avoid conatminating the container tip, do not touch it to the skin or any other surface. This product is placed on the surface of an ulcer exactly as directed, generally once daily until healing occurs. Learn proper technique for measurement (number of inches of gel needed for each use) and application of the drug on the ulcer area. The amount needed will vary depending on the ulcer size. Apply a thin layer over the etnire affected area as directed. Consult your doctor and pharmacist. The ucler may take 2 to 5 months to heal. If no imprvoement occurs in 2 months, consult your doctor.
SIDE EFFECTS: Unlikely but reoprt promptly any skin rash. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Before using that drug, tell your doctor your medical history, including: allergies, cancer in the ulcer area. This medication should be used only when cleraly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known whether that drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all nonprescription and prescription medication you may use, especially of: all other skin products. Do not start or stop any medicine without dotcor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your loacl poison control center or emergency room immediately.
This mdeicine may be harmful if swallowed.
NOTES: Use that product along with a doctor-approved ulcer care progarm (e.G., which includes not walking on affected feet).
Do not share that medication with others.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you rmeember.
If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usaul dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Refrigerate that product between 36 and 46 degrees F (2- 8 degrees C) away from mositure. Do not freeze.
